Tidbits....

Here are a few great freebie links for you! I got a HUGE deal at KodakGallery. Right now, you can get up to 20 birth announcements. So, I picked green, put a cute pic of Eve in them, and made them into "summer cards" to send to family we don't talk to much. Just a fun little summer pick-me-up. I also got like 100 pictures, a magnet and shipping for $15. Not bad, huh?
Here's some info: Hip2Save Kodak Magnet Only $.99
and more....
Purex 3-in-1 Sample
Olay Total Effects body wash from Wal-Mart

I've gotten quite a few freebies in the mail this week: PowerBar ultimate gel blasts, Dove deodorant, South Beach cereal bar, and (get this) a SINGLE sheet of Bounty paper towels. That really made me laugh.

I haven't done any couponing. It's been so crazy, but I need to hit up a few sales (like the CVS Ragu sale) today if I have time before we leave town.

On another note, Anne and Erin totally touched my heart by these posts on friendship. Check them out. What do you think? I wholeheartedly agree that friendships have seasons. They change. It sucks. But I love the way they viewed all of this:

On a frilly and fun note, check out my bloggy friend (and now IRL buddy) Katie's blog! It's her blogoversary today! One year of blogging. Thank GOODNESS for her! (Plus, there's a giveaway involved!!!)
Tale of a GRITS

Well, that's all for now. I'm off to this crazy wedding out of town this weekend. I can't wait for it to be over and for life to settle down at home. I'm ready for snuggles with DH and EB. Desperately ready for some R&R. Agh.

The upside is, work is still great. I love it. It's fun. It's never boring when I have something to do. Perfection basically.

A toy-ful Eve...

Eve Belle got new toys! She's very happy with them.... what do you think?

Yep, she got so tuckered out she fell asleep on the thing. She likes her Chilly Bone when she's hot, but I haven't given her the fluffy frisbee yet....

I'm just glad she's got some new toys! She really seems to like them, and she's had a lot of fun playing lately. That makes me feel a lot better about leaving my sweet baby alone during the day!

Eve Belle: Destroyer of toys

Well, now that I am working full-time, Eve has occupied her days by destroying all of her fuzzy toys! It's kind of unreal. Her fairly new Disney toy is the only plush toy she had left. She still had her chewy bone and a rope, but that was it. Totally unacceptable for our spoiled little princess!

Here's how she has been spending her time:

Here are the toys she destroyed:

She was depressed when I threw them away. She flopped for the rest of the afternoon.

Coming soon..... Eve's new toys! And a joyful little puppy girl!

Atlanta: The Shopping

Well, one week later, I'm finally wrapping up my lovely Atlanta weekend posts. Last Saturday, I was having a blast with Katie and Tami. :-) Can't wait to do it again. Now that I'm finally catching up on life, here's a little bit of what - well, ALL of what I bought last weekend!

I took my first-ever trip to Trader Joe's, and it was AMAZING! I got a cute Atlanta Trader Joe's bag, 3 bottled of Two Buck Chuck, brownie mix, chips and taffy! The red wine and taffy was for Mr. Jones. He loved the taffy - we haven't had the red wine yet!

The brownie mix..... oh my you guys. GO BUY SOME! It was absolutely insane! And it was pretty darn healthy! Exactly what I needed to fall in love with, lol.

While we were at the mall on Saturday afternoon, we hit up the store, Sur La Table. Heaven. Absolute heaven. Mr. Jones has been wanting an ice cream maker after he enjoyed his mom's so much, and I found this little red one on a great sale! He is so happy. He's made vanilla and mint chocolate chip ice cream so far. The beautiful eco-friendly cutting board is one I've had on my mind for quite a while. Target used to have it in stock, but I never found it after I decided we needed it. So, I'm very happy to finally have a decent-sized, usable and WASHABLE cutting board at our place. Score!

I also picked up these little Anthropologie bowls to use in my bathroom. Love them!

And no big-city shopping trip would be complete without accessories from Forever 21! :-) I got a couple of fairly work-appropriate items, wouldn't you say? I've worn the pearls already, but not the headband. I'm looking forward to it though. It's not too little-girly. (At least I don't think....)

What do you think of my new purchases? :-) Happy Saturday!

Atlanta: The Food

Now that I've told you about my favorite Atlanta girls, it's time to tell you about the FOOD we ate! :-) It was so delicious - I've had to hit the gym this week, that's for sure!

First up was lunch Saturday at Twisted Taco! I had crawfish, veggie and buffalo chicken tacos. Each one of them was just fabulous! Don't they look yummy?

While we hit the mall, we also took a short break for some frozen yogurt - and let me tell you, mango is AWESOME! I had a few chocolate chips and coconut flakes on it. :-)

And finally, DINNER on Saturday night at Uncle Julio's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started with their infamous "Swirl" - a mix of frozen margarita and sangria.

One was more than enough! After all the fabulous chips and salsa, I barely had any room in my tummy for this feast:

Yep, that was ALL mine. And I totally only finished about half of it. But that was more than enough. I had a taco, a burrito, and so many other things. I'd never had some of these before! The cheese and onion enchilada was my favorite.

And then there was dessert: sopapillas. Fabulous.

Sunday was a yummy breakfast at The Flying Biscuit with all the girls! Talk about a fun and funky restaurant. It was so enjoyable, and we were in and out before a long line got there!

I had a three-egg omelette with all sorts of yummy and fairly healthy things. Turkey sausage, onions, etc. And the grits. Oh the grits were heaven.

Thank goodness that was ALL we had time to eat! Hope you enjoyed this lovely little walk down restaurant lane this weekend.

Atlanta: The Girls

I spent an absolutely wonderful weekend in Atlanta with some fabulous new friends, and I can't tell you just how fun, wonderful and amazing the weekend was - and don't even get me started about these girls! I just adore them!

I met up with Tami early Sunday, and we hit up the Diana exhibit and grabbed a fabulous lunch at Twisted Taco before Katie joined us for the rest of the night! It was SOOOOO much fun! I loved every minute I got to spend with these girls! We had a blast, that's for sure. Check it out:

After that, we hit up the mall for some shopping, of course! :-) And fro yo!

Dinner..... oh, dinner. Tami and Katie have both raved about their fave restaurant, Uncle Julio's, and I am SO very glad they chose to introduce me to it. It is some of the best Mexican I've ever had in my life! I nommed it so much! Food pics to come soon. But for now, I'll just tell you about all the fun we had talking non-stop! The three of us just clicked, and the inside jokes and silly conversations were just fabulous. I definitely adore these girls! And I really can't wait for our next get-togethers - because believe me, we're already talking about them!

At Uncle Julio's:

(Yes, Tami started throwing the tortillas like pizza dough.)

Breakfast was another treat! We hit up The Flying Biscuit, and Becca joined us! She is just precious too! I'm enjoying catching up on her blog, although we were already Twitter buddies!

And finally, all four of us! I can't tell you how fast the weekend flew by, and how much I look forward to our next gathering. Like, really, I need it on my calendar ASAP! :-)

Hope everyone else had as wonderful a weekend! I've still got to fill you in on the FOOD I ate and the SHOPPING I did!

Mrs. Jones

Wishful Wednesday: Work wardrobe dreams!

Well, happy Wednesday lovelies!

Last week, I did a little bit of work shopping, so while I'll show you a few of my current wishes, for once I have a few fulfilled wishes to show you first!

I hit up White House Black Market and Express last week! I didn't have any luck with dresses. I'd had my eye on this one! It didn't look right on me at all! There is a slit in the middle of the chest, and that doesn't work on me!

However, this beautiful top is now in my closet! And it was on SALE! :-)

I wore it on Thursday with this lovely cardigan I bought at Express! I also got a coral/peach one. These are my favorite cardigans, but you can't find all the colors at any given time!

Hope you enjoyed! More wishing coming soon!
XOXO,
Mrs. Jones
