Fabulous Frugal Friday: Stockpile!

Seriously, after moving, I've realized just what I have wound up with a stockpile of, and it's pretty amusing, so I thought I'd share with you!

I do not need to buy:
- shampoo
- body wash
- men's body wash
- men's razors
- soup (all kinds)
- lotion
- toothpaste

....for at least the next six months. Goodness! Nice to know where everything is and what I don't need to bother stocking up on for a while. And having the house makes the stockpiling at great prices that much better! I wish I had pictures to show you, but no.

How do you guys deal with stocking up? Where do you put things? Do you bother to stock up at great prices for a few months? I'm curious.

In other news:
Post-It Notes Super Sticky Free Sample
Free business cards from Starbucks (from Frugal Living and Having Fun)

That's all for today.... so much to do, so much to do. Sigh.

Wishful Wednesday: Bed Bath and Beyond

Dear Bed Bath and Beyond,

Really? Your e-mails make me a little crazy. Why do you have to send things that look like this:

I get this during the day, when I'm thinking about a housewarming party, and I really just want to drop all of my paycheck on these THINGS, instead of on our mortgage.

Not cool, BB&B.

Especially this:

Really, I am SWOONING thinking of how much I want this to serve fun food at our party in. But $80? So not in my budget right now. It's just not. Not even with a 20% off coupon.

Sigh. Don't you just love those e-mails that show up in your inbox in the middle of the day and make you lose it a little over some fabulous items that now you just HAVE TO HAVE?

Anybody with me?

Happy Wishful Wednesday,
XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

Menu Monday: No cook style

I confess, I've sucked at my menus lately. I haven't been cooking. We've been making up for lost time with the grill, that's for sure.

These are what our meals have looked like lately!

(During the packing, courtesy of a trip out of town that included a Whole Foods stop...)

(During the moving)

(Rejoicing in the return of grill usage)

Don't you love it? Such randomness!
Happy Monday!

Football season style...

A few months ago, I ran across a fabulous pair of Alabama pants on a crazy Web site, after reading an article about the founder in a magazine. I saw them and thought to myself, oh, my husband will die for these.

Yep, I was right.

Guess what my sweet husband ordered for himself yesterday to wear to Alabama games this fall?

Oh yes, he did. Here ordered these pants from Loudmouth Golf. What do you guys think? I think it's funny and silly and just totally him.

So when he spent that much on a single pair of pants, I managed to squeak and ask about my gameday attire as well. I'd been eyeing a couple of dresses for a while, and thought this might be my last chance to get them before season starts.

I ordered this dress and this dress from Gamedaygirlstuff.com. Yay! And my two dresses were totally cheaper than Mr. Jones houndstooth pants. Score one for the frugal wife!!!

Now we both just have to hope everything fits. You know how ordering clothes is. Ugh! Say prayers! I want to look cute!

Happy weekend. We're off to another wedding, but a family one this time.

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

You know you're a grown-up when...

.... a really great trashcan makes your weekend. Seriously. Sam's Club for $49.99. Heaven.

....the only reason you put your sweet doggy in a cage is so her dad can install a doggy door. And it still breaks your heart!

.... a kitchen makes you swoon.

..... and you dream of what type of blinds you are going to put up - and how on earth to pay for them!

Just another glimpse into new-house world! I am taking any and all suggestions on how to get blinds for cheap. White, Planation-style blinds are my favorite!

Happy Tuesday,
Mrs. Jones
