Georgia on my mind...

It was one of those perfect weekends.... Family. Fun. Food. Relaxation. :-) We headed over to Mr. Jones' parents' house and immersed ourselves in all the above mentioned things. That included golf (I watched). Talk about a fun day - and a perfect weekend.

It was so much fun. I had to stop myself from driving straight back there instead of heading to work this morning....

Mr. Jones had a lot of fun, and he actually played pretty well! Especially for not having played in months!

Family love! It was such fun. Even EB got in on the action, making the road trip to Georgia to become UTTERLY spoiled... See?

Happy Monday ya'll!

Bamboo Pink

Hey lovelies -

I'm kicking off some sort of adventure here, so I wanted to let you in on it. Quite a few of my friends are in on the Bamboo Pink movement, so I signed up as well. It's free to become a consultant right now, and I mean - I think I'm going to love this, and I'd rather sign up when it's free! :-)

Here are the details:

Bamboo Pink is an affordable line of fashion jewelry and accessories. Everything in the line is price pointed anywhere from $29-$100. The line consists of traditional jewelry pieces (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc) as well as iPhone/iPad covers, sunglasses and the like. The company is literally in the ground level phrase right now and business experts are already predicting that Bamboo Pink will be the fastest women's internet business in history.

Here is how you can get in on the action. It's SO simple. All you have to do is go to my website and sign up. That's it! It's FREE!!! Then tell everyone you know about it. Once the company launches in mid- March, people will the dying to buy jewelry from you and the more people you have on your team, the better you have set yourself up for financial success. You don't have to host parties (unless you want to), you don't have to buy inventory to keep in stock at your house, it's ALL internet based through virtual trunk shows.

If you are interested in this cool opportunity, visit my page at https://www.bamboopink.net/jpjones. Simply sign up. (Remember, it's FREE!) Watch the promotional video from the designers. See a sneak peak of the jewelry line before it's released to the general public. And we can all see how this fun unfolds!

Just wanted to share the opportunity with all of you!

Too much on my mind....

There is simply too much on my mind right now. It's got my confusing "write" and "right" and forgetting what day it is.

I'm ready for this weekend, when we will disappear in Georgia to spend a couple of days with my wonderful in-laws. I am taking a swimsuit, PJs, workout clothes, and books. I plan on relaxing. And snuggling my sweet puppy as we stare out over the golf course.

I've met some huge deadlines at work. Things should slow down if only for a few days.

I can't stop looking at spring clothes. Or bargain-hunting. So many blog posts on that coming soon. I hope I don't bore you with all of it, but I'm kind of obsessed right now.

I want to cook. I need to do some cooking. Desperately. I want to try to make stuffed peppers soon, because it just looks so very yummy. And healthy.

I can't stop thinking of random thoughts I want to get out of my head, so I just keep writing. This is my blog, right?

I'm so thankful for my dear blog friends. They get me, so to speak. I can't wait for Chattanooga in just.... let's count....9 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get ready girls. :-) I've missed all of you!

Okay, I think that's it. Now back to productivity. Maybe?

Wishful Wednesday: Springy style

We've gotten a little bit of a tease of spring weather in Alabama over the last week. I love it. I'm ready for spring - keyword: spring - NOT summer!!! I hate being hot, but I love warmer weather.

It's got me thinking about all the fun to come, and what to shop for (you know, with my imaginary money!)

Here's what I'm loving right now:

Lands' End
$59.50

$29.50

$18

Pretty things for pretty weather! What are you loving right now?

Puppy tracking....

If you're like me, and you have a little puppy that you love SOOOOO much, you wonder what they are doing all day everyday while you're off at work.

Then I came across THIS in a magazine. I want. Mr. Jones says no though. But really? Tell me how fun it would be!

So, for laughs, here you go.

Softball season opens...

Last weekend started like this:

And I bundled up in about 5 layers like this:

But we made it to the ballpark in time to see this:

Alabama Softball opened their 2011 season and I got to see my sweet sister play! It was a blast. Expect many more softball posts to come! You know me and my photo-loving-self. I'm going to be documenting every bit of this.

Snowy Belle...

About 10 days ago, we got snow in the middle of the week. It was a blast. We didn't get off work, but I did get a late start the morning after it snowed.

Mr. Jones and EB spent about an hour out in the snow and they built a MASSIVE snowman to put in our front yard.

Looks like they had fun, doesn't it?

I got a few pictures the next morning:

Eve Belle LOVES to eat the snow. She shoved her face in it and just had a blast. It was pretty priceless!

It's quite different weather from what we've got going on here just 10 days later! It was 75 and sunny this afternoon. I was in shorts and a t-shirt and had a blast. Can't believe we had snow just a little while ago - feels like ages already!

Frugal Friday:

First of all, posts like this one on Hip2Save are why I attempt to coupon and bargain shop. Inspirational and soooo fun! I mean, really? Free stuff is awesome.

Last week, I hit up some good clearance sales and stuff. I even scored new makeup brushes from Target!

I scored this fabulous deal for a 4-disc Best of Discovery set on Discovery's website thanks to Hip2Save, one of my favorite deal sites. The disc set was on clearance, and there is an awesome code available. I paid less than $3!

Awesome, huh? I thought I'd share, because this will make an awesome gift later!

I made out like a bandit at Target on Wednesday. Yes, I spent $60. But I saved $40, stocked up on necessities, and got $15 back in gift cards. And I have a $4 mail-in rebate to send off. And another mail-in rebate that scores me a free makeup bag. Wooooo!

And, finally, it was an AWESOME week and a half for freebies that rolled in. I got my check on Tuesday from Ebates for $21. Free money. Yay. On top of that, here's what rolled in:

Biolage shampoo and conditioner samples
CoverGirl NatureLuxe foundation samples
Coupons for two free 12-packs of Coca-Cola (yay, MyCokeRewards

I call this week a victory. And I haven't even made it to CVS yet. :-)

Happy Frugal Friday everyone!
XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

Don't leave me, Mama!

How do you deal with it when your precious puppy girl blocks your exit? And pouts? Because it kind of kills me. Just a little bit. Well, a lot.

EB stopped me in my tracks this week. I was drying my hair and putting my shoes on, and she KNOWS that means I'm getting ready to leave. So she tried to do something about it.

So, um, I melted. And snuggled her. Then left. I mean, it was bible study time after all!

Happy puppy love day!

Wishful Wednesday: Bliss

I can blame my dear sweet mother for this entire post. When I took a quick shower and got ready at her house before Christmas, I grabbed some lotion. I fell in love. So it appeared in my stocking at Christmas, and then I was hooked.

Let the Bliss obsession begin. Oops. Thanks, Mom.

Oh this stuff is heaven. And I'm obsessed. But holy goodness, expensive! It's a good thing Valentine's and Easter are around the corner. Because I'm almost out already. What's a girl to do?

This stuff has me ready to quit buying ANY other lotion, regardless of how cheap I can get it. I want only one lotion in my bathroom. And as soon as I use all the crap I have up, I will only be using this type. Try it. You will do the same exact thing.

I had some Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks, so I recently snagged this little gift pack to try a few other things out. (It includes the Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask that a few blog friends have raved about!) I can't wait to try it. I'll share my thoughts after I get to. :-)

Happy Wishful Wednesday! Now go try some Bliss!

A Quick ❤-Day Recap....

It was simple. We stayed in. Sweet Mr. Jones cooked some fabulous cajun crab and shrimp pasta, his own recipe. I wish I had better photos, but I worked out and was in pjs with a silly ponytail and just an iPhone to commemorate with.

Happy day after ❤-Day!!!
Mrs. Jones

Perfect end to the day....

After spending oodles on new tires for my poor car and a few other random things, I ended my day with a treat.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

New workouts and more....

Happy Super Bowl!

We're kind of sort of watching the game, while I simultaneously cook and clean and all that jazz. It's been a pretty good, relaxing weekend. But I still never feel like everything is done! You know what I mean?

Anyways, on to what I want to talk about tonight: workouts. I'm pretty darn proud of myself. I've been doing well. The scale at my gym is broken right now, so I'm not quite sure where I stand weight-loss wise, but I'll know soon enough.

More than a week ago, I started something new. And I'm hooked. I took my first Zumba class. I haven't gotten to go to another one, but my sweet husband gave me the Xbox 360 Kinect Zumba game. Addicting. And painful.

I took Sunday off, then on Monday I had the bright idea to try another new thing. Jillian Michaels. I did "Shred It With Weights" and thought I was going to die. :-)

So, this is what my last week looked like in workouts:
Saturday: 60 minute Zumba class
Sunday: Off
Monday: 25 minute Jillian Michael's Shred It With Weights
Tuesday: 25 minutes elliptical; 21 minutes treadmill
Wednesday: 35 minutes elliptical
Thursday: Off
Friday: 20 minutes elliptical; 20 minutes treadmill
Saturday: Off

Not bad, right? I didn't have any plans for last week, but I'm going to try to plan things out this week We'll see how that goes. Today I did a 20 minute session of Zumba with the Xbox. Loved it!

What types of workouts are you guys doing? Any suggestions?

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones
