The Wine Chronicles: A Pair of Reds

For the last of our cool weather, we've been pulling out some of our cheap and yummy red wines! I picked both of these up at our local Sam's Club!

Seven Sisters Pinotage/Shiraz was a fabulous wine from South Africa.... I loved it! And then there was the always-enjoyed Cupcake wine. This time I tried their Malbec, which Mr. Jones enjoys! 

Both were great, and under $8. That's a hard combination to beat, you know?

So, for this edition of the Wine Chronicles, nothing earth shattering, but just a little more wine and a little more fun! What have ya'll been enjoying? I'm ready to pull out some of the delicious white wines I've been accumulating lately!

Exhaustion, pneumonia and more

I'm not quite sure what I have to say tonight. But I know it's Tuesday, and it should be Friday. It's been the longest of weeks, and there's still so much of it left.

Mr. Jones has pneumonia. After a slammed weekend, we found out when I begged him to go to the doctor on Monday morning. So he's been at home for the last two days. I feel terrible that I'm working and leaving him home so sick. I'm ready for him to be better. But Dr. Eve has been taking fabulous care of him. She's such a good little pup.

I'm overwhelmed and exhausted. The house was clean, but a weekend on the go and a sick husband at home are not very conducive to the house staying very clean.

For now, I'm curling up with my feet on a fuzzy puppy and watching Smash.

A little DIY...

I'm trying to learn a little more about how to DIY. I'm not the best at it, but I had a problem, hated a piece of furniture we had, and tried something. It's not perfect, but it works for now!

This USED to be a puke-tan colored bookcase. Now it's white, resides in our closet, and actually holds things.

I'm still working on how best to organize it, but I found these $5 bins at Wal-Mart, and I thought they worked perfectly. I may be picking up to more to add to this, but I wanted to figure out what was going where before I got any more! What do you think?

Soon enough I'll figure out how to finish it. For now, I'm glad I found the bins I wanted - for cheap! :-)

The Wine Chronicles: La Fiera Pinot Grigio

I've found a favorite new Pinot Grigio! La Fiera was fabulous...

It was delicious, and it's fairly inexpensive at about $8 a bottle! It's very fresh and crisp, with a soft and dry finish. Love, love, love.

Pinterest project: DumDum Tree

I did a little Pinterest project last week... It's going to decorate the office for Easter! :-) This is what I was aiming for.... (Side note: My photography skills could use some work... Ugh.)

So I took that pin, and headed out to our Wal-Mart one morning. :-) I picked up the stuff to make this for my office for less than $5! That's my kind of decoration!

I've snagged a few bargains as well, like $4 earrings (love the color!) and a Le Sport Sac bag to organize my purse! ($10 at TJ Maxx!)

And then, there is, as always, puppy love!

I think we're all caught up now! haha....

Primal Update #2

It's working, it's working!

I hit my 10 pound weight loss mark on Thursday and I was so excited! I have had a few little slip-ups on the primal eating plan, but that's to be expected! I've had some sweet potato fries and ranch on occasion!

A little springy decor...

Good evening lovelies...

I know I'm running a little behind with parts of this post, but I only put one little decoration up for Valentine's Day. Our little garden flag was festive in front of the house.

I have nothing against Valentine's Day, but we just don't seem to celebrate it all out. We love to stay in, snuggle up and enjoy time together without fighting the crowds. I know eventually I'll gather more Valentine's decor, but for now, I haven't really bothered very much. 

I've pulled out the only major Easter things I have, but I am looking to add to that this year. I've got my eye on sales at Michael's and Hobby Lobby, so I'll show you what I manage to add. For now, it's just a decorated kitchen table with a pastel theme. It'll work! All were clearance items from Target last year!

Happy Wednesday ladies! I'm certainly enjoying this week! It's been heaven to be off work and have time for the house and me. I've got much to share...

Defying Gravity

Something has changed within me 

Something is not the same

My whole family got to go see Wicked again last week. It was wonderful. I keep coming back to these words. They seem to sum up where I am and how I'm feeling. Just love "Defying Gravity" because of the power of the words and the song. Anyone else feeling that way lately?

Help.... shoe heartbreak!

Okay, so we all know that feeling. You find THE PERFECT SHOES. And they are half a size too small. And there are no other similar sizes. But you've already fallen in love.

For the love of all shoes, I need some help! These are Jessica Simpson shoes, found at TJ Maxx. The 8.5 was just a teeeeeensy bit too tight. I think a size 9 would be perfect. The 10 was huge. It was the only other size they had.

So, does anyone know where I can find these online? I'm dying for them. I'll keep checking our TJ Maxx to see if they get more sizes in, but.... I'm not optimistic.
